Connect an AI assistant

Connect ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to Aire Gelateria so it can browse our gelato flavours and send retail order requests or wholesale enquiries on your behalf.

Connect

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Advanced and turn on Developer mode, reading the risk notice ChatGPT shows there. If the option is missing, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Open the New plugin dialog.
  3. Enter Aire Gelateria as the name and paste the server address above into the URL field.
  4. Review the details, tick “I understand and want to continue” (ChatGPT shows this warning for every custom server), then click Create.
  5. Enable the app from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use it.

Claude

  1. Open the custom connector dialog — the name and address are filled in for you.
  2. Review the details and click Add.
  3. If the prefilled form doesn’t open, go to Claude’s Connectors page, choose “Add custom connector”, name it Aire Gelateria and paste the server address above.
  4. Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use it.

Claude Code

  1. Run this command in a terminal:
    claude mcp add --scope user --transport http aire-gelateria 'https://www.airegelateria.ie/mcp'
  2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm Aire Gelateria is connected.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use the app.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant’s MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a new remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it Aire Gelateria and paste the server address above.
  4. Finish any sign-in or authorisation prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use the app.

Refresh after we update the app

Assistants remember what the app could do when you first connected. After we ship changes, refresh the connection to pick up the latest.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT’s Plugins page and select Aire Gelateria.
  2. Scroll to “Information” and click Refresh.
  3. ChatGPT can’t change an existing app’s address — if it changed, delete the app and follow the connect steps again.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select this connector.
  2. Refresh or update the connector.
  3. Claude can’t change an existing connector’s address — if it changed, remove the connector and follow the connect steps again.
  4. Ask Claude to use the app.

Claude Code

  1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest on connect.
  2. If the address changed, run claude mcp remove aire-gelateria, then run the install command again.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use the app.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant’s MCP server or connector settings.
  2. Select the connection you created for Aire Gelateria.
  3. Refresh, reload or reconnect it.
  4. If the address changed, paste the latest one from above.
  5. Start a new chat and ask the assistant to use the app.
