Aire Foods Limited ("Aire Gelateria", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website www.airegelateria.ie, how we use it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts.

What data we collect

We only collect the data you choose to give us through our contact forms:

• Order / enquiry form: your name, email address, and the contents of your message or order request.
• Trade / wholesale form: your business name, contact name, email address, and the contents of your message.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and we do not build profiles about you. Our hosting provider may process basic technical information (such as IP address) in server logs for security and to deliver the website; this is standard for any website and is not used to identify you.

How we use your data and our legal basis

We use your data to:

• Respond to your enquiries and process order or wholesale requests — legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
• Fulfil orders and keep the records required by law — legal basis: performance of a contract and compliance with our legal obligations (including tax and accounting law).

We will not use your data for marketing unless you have separately asked us to, and we will never sell your data.

Who we share your data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") that handle data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:

• Supabase — database hosting (stores form submissions).
• Resend — sending transactional emails (e.g. confirming we received your message).
• Cloudflare and Lovable — website hosting and content delivery.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We may also disclose data where required to do so by law.

Cookies

Our website uses only strictly necessary cookies needed for it to function and remain secure. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so no cookie consent banner is required.

How long we keep your data

• Enquiries and order/wholesale requests: up to 24 months from our last contact with you, after which they are deleted.
• Records relating to completed orders and invoices: 6 years, as required by Irish tax law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to how we use your data; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.
