Our Story

We are two Argentine engineers, with Italian blood. Ten years ago, Ireland became our home.

In all that time, only one thing was missing: a truly good gelato.

And we could hardly believe it. How could the land with the finest dairy in Europe not also have the finest gelato? The question followed us — until we decided to answer it ourselves.

As engineers, and as incurable lovers of good food, we felt that Dublin deserved this gelato, and that we were made to create it.

So we studied. We practised. We got it wrong, again and again. We learned. We sought out master gelato makers in Argentina and Italy, chasing every secret of the craft.

From that pursuit, Aire was born: where Italian heritage, Argentinean recipes and the finest Irish milk meet.

And that is how we arrived at the gelato you are enjoying today.
